I live in the Pacific Northwest, just a mile from the majestic Columbia River. I do both painting and printmaking.

I started pursuing art in high school, and eventually went to school for art and was privileged to do art restoration for ten years. But during this period the desire to do my own work grew, and I began with printmaking, eventually exhibiting internationally, but began turning more and more to painting.Painting has a richness of color and physical texture, being more *substantial* in a physical sense. I also find it more intense and of-the-moment than printmaking, in which one has to work in a far more calculated or deliberate manner. I see the works of the likes of Velasquez, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Cezanne, Whistler, and more recently, those of Henry Hensche and David Leffel and I am inspired to realize my own vision.
